> Guidelines and Templates
All authors with papers accepted for presentation at the Symposium will have to send a full-manuscript to be included in a memory stick and a one-page abstract for the book of abstracts. Both will be included in the conference bags for distribution to participants and later published at the web site of the Symposium.

Both files must be prepared according to the templates provided in the links below and uploaded at the website before May 25th, 2012. The address of the website has been sent to all corresponding authors by e-mail. If you have forgotten the address, or did not receive the e-mail, please ask the access to llaser.editions@dem.ist.utl.pt. Oral presentations should be delivered using a computer projector. The preferred applications are Microsoft Powerpoint and Adobe Acrobat (pdf files).

Computer systems with Windows 7 and Office 2010 will be available and presenters are expected to use the conference system to minimize setup time. Each presenter is requested to upload his presentation prior to the start of the session on the conference computer system. We suggest bringing a copy of all the files including movies on multiple media formats (e.g. CD and/or USB key). Please make sure to use standard codecs for video to minimize risks of playing issues during presentation on the conference computer system.

Presentations will last for 18-20 minutes, depending on the number of papers scheduled for each session, including 3 minutes for questions and answers. Timing will be strictly enforced by the chairperson and presenters should make sure that they do not talk for more than the allocated slot.

It is understood that at least one author of each presentation is planning to attend the Symposium and to present the work. Each author should only make one presentation.

Please remember to register on-line and make all the necessary travel and hotel following the procedure available at the website http://ltces.dem.ist.utl.pt/lxlaser/lxlaser2012/registration.asp.
